Cleveland Crunch Defeat Chicago Mustangs 7-4 in Action-Packed Match

The Cleveland Crunch took down the Chicago Mustangs in an exciting 7-4 victory last night, thrilling fans with an all-around team effort. With the win, Cleveland advances to 4-0 on this season and remains at the top of the MLIS league table.

The game began with Cleveland setting the pace early in the first period. Aidan Bozak opened the scoring with a well-placed goal, assisted by Mikey Derezic. Shortly after, Parker Csiszar doubled the lead with help from Ma’Cain Spragling, giving Cleveland a 2-0 advantage heading into the second period.

Chicago fought back, with Gabriel Jurado narrowing the gap in the second period, followed by Dario Gamboa’s power-play goal early in the third, leveling the score at 2-2.

However, the tie didn’t last long. David Jordan restored Cleveland’s lead with a strike, assisted by Bozak. Admir Suljevic added a goal just minutes later, continuing his incredible scoring streak of 14 consecutive games and 23 goals in his last 25 appearances. Despite a response from Chicago’s Gerardo Perez, Jordan struck again on a power play, notching his second goal of the night. Omar Najjar extended Cleveland’s lead early in the fourth period, and Bozak sealed the victory with his second goal of the match.

David Jordan earned the MetroHealth Man of the Match honors for an impressive performance on the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. Goalkeeper Marijo Musa also made history, recording his 500th career save in a Cleveland Crunch uniform.
